DGC I bought some of these with the round plates and the pipe brackets. These hold the gongs quite well, just make sure you have them facing the right way so the plates don't go flying off. No, I definitely didn't do that and send the 4in plate tumbling to the ground. I have noticed it's possible for the plate to bind up after being hit, but usually hitting the adjacent plate next to it will cause it to settle back down.

John Meyer These are super strong, well made hangers. They work well with targets that are large enough to not swing past 90 degrees. We used them on KYL targets and the small ones would fall off. Other than that they are highly recommended.
